Hello, My name is Pascal Roland and I am data manager in Current Biodata Ltd., a joint venture company formed by GeneBio S.A. (http://www.genebio.com/) and the Current Science Group (http://current-science-group.com/). I was involved in different data integration and data management projects in medical and scientific environments for 14 years. My previous work was more at the biological laboratory level and I have shifted to computing since 1991. My present work is about proteins and proteomics databases (to build databases and to integrate data that comes from differents data sources). I'm interested in semantic web because I think the semantic integration and interoperability at the web level represents, probably not the ultimate but at least, an essential step to master one of the domain of Science where the complexity seems infinite and where, in the same time, the data deluge must be organized in a way that allow us to have the best understanding of life mechanisms. Best Regards, Pascal.
