Dear Colleagues, My name is Matt Perry, and I'm an engineer at Oracle in the Semantic Technologies group. Over the past 8 years or so, my work has involved the intersection of the spatial and semantics worlds quite a few times, mainly from a modeling and query processing prospective. I was co-editor of the OGC GeoSPARQL specification, and I participated in the W3C SPARQL 1.1 working group. I would like to see increased adoption of existing standards and vocabularies in this area, so my main interest is in the best practices deliverable. It will be very valuable if the WG can provide some recommendations and harmonization here. I have some experience in both the OGC and W3C and look forward to seeing these organizations work together. Cheers, Matt
