Yes, I completely understand how this might have come across. I'm sorry
about that. I just wanted to push some things out before calling it a day. I
should have waited writing that mail till the next day when I had more time.

Normalization is not really part of JSON-LD so that should be discussed
completely separately. The JSON-LD community group hasn't been working on
normalization for a long time... AFAICT it's mostly Digital Bazaar (Manu)
and the web payments group
