At the potential for derailing other discussion, there are some points for discussion from [1] that bear discussion:
• Separate directional language-tagged string with rdf:dirLangString datatype, or extend the notion of language-tagged string and continue to use rdf:langString. (previously discussed? resolved?)
• Bikeshedding terminology for literal element:
• text direction – From previous proposals
• base direction – From Unicode bidi basics
• initial text direction – From Wiki
• text directionality – From HTML
This is not a discussion about syntax, but needs to consider implications for SPARQL and Semantics.
