I just wanted to separate the thread from some of the other discussion. It seems that the TF is still open on the subject. @instanceof always bothered me (too geeky, too long, two words, etc). First, I noticed MarkB liking the @typeof suggestion, but Dan likes the monosyllabic aspect of @type (but we all know is taken), so I suggested @kind (which I know has been suggested before) and it seemed to be more popular this time around. Is this something the TF is interested in undertaking (it might not be as simple as s/instanceof/kind/g in spec and tests)? -Elias
