11.2.2 Effective boolean value The working group has asked for feedback on this feature. My specific feeling is that it would be better to have type errors if non-boolean values are used for boolean operands. There are functions and operations available that the user can use to explicitly test non-boolean values and create a boolean value. For example ?x != 0 can be used to test whether a numeric value is non-zero. Fred Zemke
