Bug ID: 28457
Summary: [SER 3.1]Namespace for meta element with XHTML
Product: XPath / XQuery / XSLT
Version: Last Call drafts
Hardware: PC
OS: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Serialization 3.1
Assignee: cmsmcq@blackmesatech.com
Reporter: mike@saxonica.com
QA Contact: public-qt-comments@w3.org
Section 6.1.14 says that the XHTML output method must (when appropriate) add a
meta element as a child of the head element. It fails to say anything about the
namespace of the meta element. The obvious thing is that the meta element
should be in no namespace if the head element is in no namespace, and in the
XHTML namespace if the head element is in the XHTML namespace. But this isn't
quite obvious enough to go without saying...
