It seems like you're thinking of 'simple value' and SimpleValue as more-or-less the same thing, so that assertions about the former are ipso facto true of the latter. Well, they aren't (as I indicated in the last sentence of comment #8). If you really do think they are, please say so. In comment #6, I asked a pertinent question and supplied two different answers, with conflicting results for the inference rule in question. Please do me the courtesy of indicating whether the second answer correctly outlines your position. Maybe then we can make some progress.
