Hm. Then I am not sure. ns/prov is the namespace document for the OWL ontology (which have covered) and for the XSD document. Per spec, conneg means the same information represented in different format, and a choice thereof; although the xsd may be a little bit of a stretch, it still fits this picture. But a provenance notation is describing the provenance of something, which is a different information than the ontology. So my initial reaction is that this would not be part of a conneg.

I may still misunderstand what you ask, though...
