prov-wg, For the past 3 months, the PROV-O subgroup has been developing the OWL ontology at: http://dvcs.w3.org/hg/prov/raw-file/tip/ontology/ProvenanceOntology.owl This URL is now @deprecated. The subgroup has decided to try to use a component-based OWL construction design, which is discussed at: http://www.w3.org/2011/prov/wiki/PROV_OWL_ontology_components (feedback on this document very much appreciated) The following URL will provide the latest OWL ontology using this new development strategy: http://dvcs.w3.org/hg/prov/raw-file/tip/ontology/component-aggregations/prov.owl (oh, and check out the provenance of its construction: http://dvcs.w3.org/hg/prov/raw-file/tip/ontology/component-aggregations/prov.owl.prov.ttl) In case you're interested (or, don't want to read PROV-O), http://dvcs.w3.org/hg/prov/raw-file/tip/ontology/component-aggregations/prov.ttl now provides the owl:imports triples to cite the components that should be in the authoritative ontology, and http://dvcs.w3.org/hg/prov/file/tip/ontology/component-aggregations/aggregate.sh performs the owl:import (one-step) closure. The components are stored in http://dvcs.w3.org/hg/prov/file/tip/ontology/components/ Feedback and suggestions welcome. Regards, Tim Lebo
