48-Hour Call for Consensus (CfC): Decision Policy Change for HTML-A11Y TF

Colleagues:

This is a Call for Consensus (CfC) to the Protocols and Formats Working Group
(PFWG) requesting approval for an amendment to the HTML-A11Y Task Force
Decision Policy available at:

http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/HTML/consensus-procedures

The HTML-A11Y Task Force has reached consensus approving this amendment
as logged in:

http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-a11y/2015Mar/0065.html

A concurrent CfC will be ongoing in the HTML-WG.

PROPOSED AMENDMENT

Add the following item to the enumerated steps of Task Force decision
procedures:

"5.) Whenever the Task Force Co-Facilitators believe a Task
Force consensus is clearly evident or noncontroversial, they may
request that the HTML and PF chairs conduct their working group
Calls for Consensus concurrently with the Task Force's CfC."

This CfC is the result of the proposal thread beginning at:

http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-a11y/2015Mar/0015.html

And of the Task Force CfC thread beginning at:

http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-a11y/2015Mar/0038.html

It has also become known by the term "the CfC on CfCs."

ACTION TO TAKE

According to agreed PFWG Consensus Procedures, this CfC is now open for
objection, comment, as well as statements of support via email. Silence will be
interpreted as support, though messages of support are certainly welcome.

If you object to this proposed action, or have comments concerning this
proposal, please respond by replying on list to this message no later than
23:59 PM (Midnight) Boston Time, Friday 27 March.
