Fulfilling ACTION-63 concerning ISSUE-74 Noting that http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/REC-xmlschema-2-20041028/#built-in-datatypes states: [[ each facet definition element can be uniquely addressed via a URI constructed as follows: 1. the base URI is the URI of the XML Schema namespace 2. the fragment identifier is the name of the facet For example, to address the maxInclusive facet, the URI is: * http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#maxInclusive ]] I propose that A) OWL 1.1 should use such URIs to identify the facets defined in http://www.w3.org/TR/2008/WD-owl11-syntax-20080108/#Data_Ranges and to utilise these URIs for the appropriate mapping rules; B) moreover these URIs are to be used even when the datatype being modified is not one defined by XML Schema; C) that once these changes are in published WDs we will draw the XML Schema WG's attention to this change, inviting their comments D) we will provide the XML Schema WG with an example of use, in RDF/XML, of at least one such URI to illustrate the design. I believe (A) is uncontentious, I add B-D for discussion. Jeremy
