The syntax of OWL DL goes beyond its grammar. 

For example, the "nonstructural restrictions" in 

  <http://www.w3.org/TR/owl2-syntax/#Nonstructural_Restrictions_on_Axioms>

are syntactic constraints, and violating them is a syntax error. But one
cannot express them by means of a grammar.
