Philipp, hope to be able to make the call today. Anyway, a discussion point I would like to address is about the distinction between 'type' and 'token' (see: http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/types-tokens/), that I think could be somehow relevant. In Senso Comune, we have adopted DOLCE's foundations, which sets spatio-temporal qualities as a key distinctive feature. In this light, roughly, types can be put among abstractions (i.e. entities without specific spatio-temporal collocation) while tokens are basically concrete entities. Coming to linguistics, this led us to distinguish (what we call) 'Meaning' (token) from (what we call) 'Sense' (type). The former occurs in contexts and is conveyed by Expressions, the latter is a socially constructed abstraction and are linked to Lexical Entries. Meanings 'instantiate' one or more Senses. Now, our model differs from Ontolex's current draft, but this is not the point. The question is, do we have (or need) the type \ token distinction in OntoLex? If yes, where is it? I will send around a recent version of the ontology tonight. We should finalize discussions on the core tomorrow.
