Re: ODRL Teleconference (November 2019)

Meeting notes:

Sabina gave an overview of the ODRL Regulatory Compliance Profile [5] and explained some of the examples.
This covered the differences to the ODRL Information Model and the reasons why these changes were made.

The subsequent discussion raised two key items:

1) The concept of an ODRL Profile may need to be revisited. In particular, three aspects:
    a) the ability to deprecate parts of the core model in a profile
    b) the scope of the core model could be too large and reducing it may help new profiles
    c) the definition of concepts need to have less dependencies (eg permission on asset) 

2) The need for more robust and definitive ODRL Compliance checking.
    Greater industry adoption is predicated on consistent and standardised mechanisms for compliance of ODRL expressions.

Both of these items will be the subject of the next teleconference.
So please consider any options and strategies for the above.
