Advance notice: Work in progress on Exploration Interest Group; co-Chairs wanted

Hello,

This is an advance notice that the W3C Team is currently working on a
charter [1] for an Exploration Interest Group, introduced in September
2023 [2] as the Pipeline CG.

The mission of the Exploration Interest Group is to provide W3C Members
with a forum to explore and discuss emerging web-related technology
trends and consider how the community could collaborate to shape those
trends for the benefit of web users.

The Advisory Board supported the latest proposal and we believe the
charter is almost in its final form (modulo the section on coordination
with other groups).

You can find more details at:
   https://github.com/w3c/strategy/issues/451

We welcome input and feedback on the draft charter. If you wish to make
your comments public, you are welcome to raise issues at:
   https://github.com/w3c/charter-drafts/issues

W3C Members may also discuss on the member-confidential mailing list
<w3c-ac-forum@w3.org>.

Wei Ding (W3C Advisory Board) and Philippe Le Hegaret (W3C) are the
chartering facilitators for this proposal [3].

A formal Advisory Committee Review for this charter is expected at the
end of February 2025.

Before starting the Advisory Committee review, we are looking for 2
co-Chairs for this Interest Group, who can guide the group in the
emerging web-related technology trends and strategize how the community
could collaborate to shape those trends for the benefit of web users. If
you are interested or would like to suggest an individual, please reach
out the facilitators.
