RE: [Action-430] Draft text explaining importance of Unicode normalization and best practices on ISSUE-67

Hi all,

 

Finally we haven’t had the chance to talk about this on today’s call, anyway
anyone has any feedback on this? I haven’t heard a word from the data
categories implementers yet, what is your opinion on this?

Hi Felix, Yves, all,

 

I have a couple of questions regarding this action, sorry in advance if they
were discussed before, but I couldn’t find such information.

1)      Unicode normalization is encouraged when processing the regex, or
the text on which the regex applies, or both?

2)      Do we support any specific normal form (NFD, NFC, NFKC and NFKD) or
we just leave it to consumers choice?

3)      I wanted to add a reference in the text pointing to
http://www.unicode.org/reports/tr15/ but there already exists an Unicode
reference, I don’t know whether this is a problem or not.
