Congratulations Wonsuk for your Chair position. -------- Message original -------- Sujet: HTML Activity Proposal: HTML5 Korean Interest Group Date de renvoi : Thu, 09 Sep 2010 13:55:47 +0000 De (renvoi) : w3c-ac-members@w3.org Date : Thu, 9 Sep 2010 08:55:44 -0500 De : Ian Jacobs <ij@w3.org> Pour : W3C Members <w3c-ac-forum@w3.org> Copie à : Michael(tm) Smith <mike@w3.org>, Philippe Le Hegaret <plh@w3.org> Dear Advisory Committee Representative, This is a Call for Review of a proposed charter for a new HTML5 Korean Interest Group, part of the HTML Activity: http://www.w3.org/html/ig/ko/Overview.html http://www.w3.org/html/ig/ko/Overview.ko.html (in Korean) The work of the HTML5 Korean Interest Group is centered on focused discussion in Korean of the HTML5 specification. This new Interest Group would help address the following general realizations: * Potential contributors to the HTML5 work who have familiarity with the class of technologies covered in the HTML5 specification and insight related to HTML5 may not always be willing or able to participate effectively in public discussions about HTML5 in English, but may be able to participate much more effectively in discussions about HTML5 that take place in their native language. * Offering a setting for technical discussions among contributors in their native languages helps to provide potential participants in those discussions with greater opportunities for more timely (or even real-time) online communication with others in their same timezone, and greater opportunities for coordinating face-to-face meetings with others in their region. Please review the charter and indicate your support using this online form: http://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/33280/html-ko-2010/ The deadline for responses is 23:59, Boston time on 2010-10-07. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact Michael Smith <mike@w3.org>. This charter review follows section 6.2.4 of the W3C Process Document: http://www.w3.org/2005/10/Process-20051014/groups#CharterReview Thank you, For Tim Berners-Lee, W3C Director, Philippe Le Hegaret, Interaction Domain Lead, and Michael Smith, HTML Activity Lead; Ian Jacobs, Head of W3C Communications -- Ian Jacobs (ij@w3.org) http://www.w3.org/People/Jacobs/ Tel: +1 718 260 9447
