Hi, (Apologies for cross-posting) :: SemaGrow Webinar: POWDER W3C Recommendation, use cases and future directions :: Presenter: Dr Stasinos Konstantopoulos (NCSR "Demokritos", Athens, Greece) On 24.06.2013 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM CEST the SemaGrow project (http://semagrow.eu/) will offer a free one-hour free webinar on use cases and future directions of the POWDER W3C Recommendation. This talk presents the Protocol for Web Description Resources (POWDER), the W3C recommended method for publishing metadata about Web resources. The POWDER specification defines a syntax for making statements about all resources in a Web site, all resources under a given path, or any other natural grouping of URIs that share properties. As such, it supercedes rdf:aboutEach and PICS as the W3C recommendation for content labelling. After introducing POWDER and providing a brief overview of its syntax and semantics, the talk will present POWDER uses cases and actual deployments. Besides the straight-forward accreditation and trustmarking usage, POWDER's versatility has allowed for further uses, unforeseen during its development, in resource discovery and compression. :: When : 24.06.2013 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM CEST :: Information & free Registration: https://www4.gotomeeting.com/register/417607927 All the best and have a nice day!
