The reason I didn't do it was because I do spend most of my time working
in the OWL DL world, and hence had it ingrained in me that this was not
allowed. Also I like to keep my RDF "OWL DL friendly" so that I can
"upgrade" it if necessary with an OWL DL ontology.

For me the pub:name and rdfs:label were two fairly different things. I
put the label in as I know many RDF browsers pick up on the label when
displaying the RDF, whereas the pub:name was simply another attribute of
the pub which happened to coincide with the rdfs:label in this case. For
example I had considered putting in both the nickname and the official
name. For example the Southwestern Arms in Southampton is often called
Nellies. I'd though about a "hasOfficialName" property and "hasNickName"
property, both of which would be subclasses of "hasName". If this were
then a subproperty of rdfs:label then we could have potentially two
labels...and wouldn't this confuse Tabulator?
