Input to BP6 http://www.w3.org/International/its/techniques/its-techniques.html#DevSeg

Hi all,

I had a look at "Best Practice 6: Provide text segmentation-related
information".

My high-level feedback is the following:

The original text heavily focuses on ITS rules. From my understanding,
however, the general thing we first want to say is "document your code",
only afterwards we recommanded ITS rules as the most convenient and
important way of doing this.

While writing this, I realize that the feedback for this BP is similar to
the one
I gave for BP 4. Accordingly, I am starting to wonder whether "factoring
out" this feedback
might be a good idea. "Factoring out" would mean to create a separate BP
which says: 'Document your code with regard to the following ... Strongly
consider
to use "its:rules" to document'.

Cheers,
Christian
