Action - Yves to look at "The XMLHttpRequest Object" and see if there is a need for ITS in it (DONE) Action - Yves to send a mail about call times / days (DONE) ITS Processor with XSLT Felix gives an update Syd: what state are you in? Felix: decoration of XML document with ITS translate information is finished, XLIFF output is under development. Not sure yet when we can make this public though ITS API <YvesS> [14]http://www.w3.org/2008/05/transprep/ [14] http://www.w3.org/2008/05/transprep/ <YvesS> [15]http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-i18n-its-ig/2008May/0 002.html [15] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-i18n-its-ig/2008May/0002.html Yves: proposals are very similar <YvesS> [16]http://www.w3.org/International/its/wiki/ITS_Processor_Interface [16] http://www.w3.org/International/its/wiki/ITS_Processor_Interface Felix: agree ... I plan to integrate my tool into a the general API which we are developing Yves: what about next steps? Felix: publish this as a working draft? Yves: 2 main parts to the API: set the rules (which data category), and how to use the rules ... decorating the tree is easy, but how to go through the document and get the information you need is difficult ... e.g. just walking through the tree is easy, but if you want to access it randomly its more difficult ... I'll start the discussion on the ML with questions I had during developing the API ... I'd like also to compare our codes (Felix and Yves) Felix: agree <scribe> ACTION: Felix and Yves to compare their implemntations and see how to merge their code [recorded in [17]http://www.w3.org/2008/05/27-i18nits-minutes.html#action03] <trackbot-ng> Created ACTION-71 - And Yves to compare their implemntations and see how to merge their code [on Felix Sasaki - due 2008-06-03]. ITS Rules repository Yves: we want to gather rules for different documents ... had some requests for a few formats ... can also gather examples we had for our specifications ... any other rules? Syd: I'd like to encourage some people in a workshop to create TEI examples (not sure if they will do that) Yves: OK, if you have examples, please post them ... any other rules examples? AOB Ingo: looking into ITS for some of our tools Yves: if you are interest in our API, please tell us Ingo: ok Yves: one item, "localization of dita documents" ... there was an issue with something which could be translated only into several languages ... you could use an addition attribute or variables, the latter outside the ITS rules files ... variables could talk about the target language ... if you see similar issues, please post them Ingo: do you plan to introduce "within Text" locally? Yves: good point, something to discuss Ingo: I'll send a mail Yves: if you have other ideas for improving ITS, please tell us some discussion on XSLT 2.0 vs. XSLT 1.0, what to use Yves: next call 24th June adjourned Summary of Action Items [NEW] ACTION: Felix and Yves to compare their implemntations and see how to merge their code [recorded in [22]http://www.w3.org/2008/05/27-i18nits-minutes.html#action03] [NEW] ACTION: Felix to look into access module draft [recorded in [23]http://www.w3.org/2008/05/27-i18nits-minutes.html#action04] [PENDING] ACTION: Felix to work on usage of ITS in SVG Tiny [recorded in [24]http://www.w3.org/2008/05/27-i18nits-minutes.html#action01] [PENDING] ACTION: Felix will bring that to i18n core and back to IETF back [recorded in [25]http://www.w3.org/2008/05/27-i18nits-minutes.html#action02] [End of minutes] _________________________________________________________ Minutes formatted by David Booth's [26]scribe.perl version 1.133 ([27]CVS log) $Date: 2008/05/27 14:50:43 $ [26] http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/~checkout~/2002/scribe/scribedoc.htm [27] http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/2002/scribe/
