Dear Implementors, I am pleased to announce that TTML Text and Image Profiles for Internet Media Subtitles and Captions 1.0 (IMSC1) is a W3C Candidate Recommendation: http://www.w3.org/TR/2014/CR-ttml-imsc1-20141209/ Noting that the document will not exit CR before 16 January 2015 at the earliest, please provide feedback by sending comments to public-tt@w3.org with [imsc] at the start of your email's subject. The Timed Text Working Group considers this specification to be stable and sends a Call for Implementation. Please let us know if you plan to implement, even partially, this specification. We also invite W3C Members, external bodies and companies with interest in IMSC1, to contribute and participate in our TestSuite effort in order to test this specification. A preliminary test suite, to evolve significantly before the specification advances to Proposed Recommendation, is available at https://dvcs.w3.org/hg/ttml/file/tip/ttml-ww-profiles/testsuite An implementation report will be used to demonstrate adequate implementation experience when transition of IMSC 1 to Proposed Recommendation is requested. Thank you, On behalf of Nigel Megitt, Chair for Timed Text Working Group, Thierry Michel, Team Contact for Timed Text Working Group.
