No Alternate or Counter proposals were received. Therefore, we continue to have only one active Change Proposal: http://www.w3.org/html/wg/wiki/ChangeProposals/Issue31cMetaGeneratorUpdated At the current time, the chairs are issuing a call for consensus on this proposal. If anybody would like to raise an objection during this time, we will require them to accompany their objection with a concrete and complete change proposal. If no objections are raised to this call by August 8, 2012, we will direct the editor to make the proposed change, and will only consider subsequently reopening this issue based on new information and a complete change proposal based on the spec's contents as it exists after this change is applied. Note: we are aware (per below) that Ted is working on a counter proposal. The intent of this CfC is to make a hard deadline for such. - Sam Ruby On 07/24/2012 01:57 PM, Edward O'Connor wrote: > Hi, > > Maciej wrote: > >> The Chairs have granted a reopen request for a portion of ISSUE-31, >> resulting in new ISSUE-206, on the basis of the following Change >> Proposal >> >> http://www.w3.org/html/wg/wiki/ChangeProposals/Issue31cMetaGeneratorUpdated >> >> At this time the Chairs would also like to solicit additional Change >> Proposals (possibly with "zero edits" as the Proposal Details), in >> case anyone would like to advocate the status quo or a different >> change than the specific one in the existing Change Proposals. >> >> If no counter-proposals or alternate proposals are received by [July >> 27th, 2012], we proceed to evaluate the change proposals that we have >> received to date. > > The proposal on the table removes the existing feature without providing > a replacement for it.
