You would have to be off line and living the life of a hermit for the past
2.5 years to not know that when it comes to opinions and HTML5, Ian
Hickson and I would hardly be considered 'in step'.

I wish to state categorically that while you might have a different
opinion than Ian, his offer has been made in good faith and without
reservation (of any kind): Ian, via Google, has offered and agreed to
sponsor my attendance at TPAC 2009.

Thank you Ian, it's classy of you and Google to make this offer.
