I am afraid that the current editor's draft specification bends over backwards so far to permit ill-formed documents to be rendered that any hopes that he will treat the <img> element strictly whilst treating all other aspects leniently are destined to be dashed ... (Bur of course this is only the editor's draft : who knows how different the final specification will be ?). Philip TAYLOR
