To direct public comments to the WG mailing list is to suggest (though not require) that people should join the WG to comment on the draft. I'd rather not do that. I'd like to offer a separate comments mailing list. Any of these works for me: public-html-comments@w3.org public-html5-comments@w3.org public-html5-editor@w3.org I'd like some volunteers to monitor the comments list and to answer comments on behalf of the WG.
