Task Force Reports
SUBTOPIC: Testing Task Force
Kris: Erika is going to help a bit on the testing front
... from Microsoft
... Robin is going to update the Canvas test
... so the test runs properly
... we have agreement to move canvas tets from master to CR
once those are fixed.
... acessibility for longtests, looking for feedback
... the tests are focusing on data URIs
... but there are probably more general cases to tests
... would be good to move the tests to web-platform-tests
... nothing seems to prevent them from using testharness.js
Janina: we'll probably need some help here
Plh: Denis Ah-Kang is going to help on the HTML5 testing from
the W3C staff
SUBTOPIC: Accessibility Task Force
jania: we have a number of items going on
janina: We will have a CFC for working with PF
... We continue to work on longdesc tests and have gotten some
feedback
... We approval from the WCAG on 4.8.8.1
... This is update is in the 5.1 nightly and we are hoping that
with more consensus we can move this back into 5.0
plh: What is the plan to move it back to 5.0?
janina: I have not heard about the when and how to do this
specifically
... We have been spending time looking at MSE and EME specs
... We think the EME may need to be updated so that encrypted
text/captions can be exposed
... This has been a problem in the past with e-books
... This looks more like an issue due to omission
... I will bring this up specifically to paul
plh: Has this been discussed before?
glenn: This came up at the F2F at paypal
... Chaals mentioned at the F2F that some content providers may
not wish to expose text/captions to be copyed
SUBTOPIC: Media Task Force
plh: No one around to report. Next week is a last call for MSE
