Hi all, one of the things we discussed a couple weeks ago was stopping work on the above two documents. "HTML: The Markup Language" has been a useful document and a number of its ideas have been incorporated into the HTML specification proper. But overall it is more documentation oriented and would seem to be developed better as such (rather than using the heavyweight Recommendation process). We've been talking with the fine people who work on WebPlatform.org to make sure that the content isn't lost but rather finds a new home there. "HTML5: Edition for Web Authors" serves a useful purpose, but it does not seem useful to publish it as a document on its own. Rather, we can use a style switcher in the specification and toggle the view. Steve has been working on that. Unless there are solid objections, these two documents will therefore be republished as Notes to indicate that work on them has stopped. -- Robin Berjon - http://berjon.com/ - @robinberjon
