This issue is not longer useful, there have been so many related issues tangled up in it. A set of changes has been made to the diagram, incorrect assumptions about dct:Standard addressed (they obviously _can_ have resources given the domain of prof:ResourceDescriptor) and topics have been taken out to other issues (#791 for mapping, #842 ) thats enough to close this overloaded issue.
