dwbp-ISSUE-213 (BP_REST): Changes on BP about REST APIs [Best practices document(s)] http://www.w3.org/2013/dwbp/track/issues/213 Raised by: Newton Calegari On product: Best practices document(s) Maybe it would be interesting suggest the use of an REST API as an approach to implementation of the BP, instead of having the BP saying that it is a best practice to use REST APIs for serving data. I mean, data could be served by an API and it is what the BP suggests. And in the approach to implementation section, we could say that REST or SOAP are approach to implement that API. The discussion I would like to raise is to don't have the BP specifying to follow REST principles when designing an API, and to have the BP suggesting the use of APIs with REST (and/or SOAP) as approaches to its implementation.
