Hello everyone, My names is Giancarlo Guizzardi and I am an Associate Professor and co-coordinator of the Ontology and Conceptual Modeling Research Group (NEMO) [1], at the Federal University of Espirito Santo (UFES) in Brazil. I am also an associate researcher at the Laboratory of Applied Ontology (LOA) at the Italian National Research Council (CNR) and a visiting professor at the University of Trento, Italy. I have been working with Ontologies for the past 17 years both as a researcher but also helping technology transfer in a number of industrial sectors. I have published extensively on the subjects of Ontology and Conceptual Modeling [2] and have been involved also in a number of initiatives of ontology outreach (e.g., as member of the executive council and advisory board of the International Association for Ontologies and Applications [3], or as the general organizational chair for 8th International Conference on Formal Ontology and Information Systems - FOIS 2014 [4]). Looking forward to working with you all. -Giancarlo [1] http://http://nemo.inf.ufes.br/ [2] http://www.inf.ufes.br/~gguizzardi/Education.htm [3] http://www.iaoa.org/ [4] http://fois2014.inf.ufes.br/ On Wed, Jan 22, 2014 at 10:54 AM, Martin Alvarez-Espinar <mlvarez@w3.org>wrote: > Thanks, Yaso. > > Hello all, > > My name is Martin Alvarez, the Manager of the W3C Office in Spain [1]. > I also work as consultant for CTIC Foundation [2], having been > involved in a dozen of Open Data initiatives in Spain –most of them > with some Semantic Web components.
