Welcome to the group Ilya!

Since you mentioned some areas of interest, I’ll give a brief update below to get you started.

* Standby API (aka wake lock, poke)

Discussion is happening at:

http://discourse.specifiction.org/t/allow-developers-to-control-wake-lock-aka-disable-auto-dimming/

The discussion will eventually move to an appropriate W3C list when we move this work to the standards track. Currently, we’re giving Discourse a spin to test drive it and see if we can solicit wider feedback from the community using something else than traditional mailing lists in the bootstrapping phase.

The use cases for the Standby API and concrete API proposals are at:

https://github.com/w3c/screen-wake

Please feel free to contribute, review the existing use cases and proposals, or propose new ones.

* Ambient Light Events + Battery Status API

What comes to the Ambient Light Events and the Battery Status API, the implementations are close to being done in Chromium (I guess you’re interested in Chromium). Please ping me if you’d like further pointers, I can connect you with people working on these.

* Push API

The Push API is in scope for the WebApps Working Group, so discussion about that API should happen in the WebApps group:

http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-webapps/

Thanks,
