This is a Call for Consensus to update the Ambient Light specification [1] by removing the LightLevelEvent entirely.

If the CfC is approved this will require edits to remove section 6 (Light Level) as well as to update the Introduction, Terminology and Security and Privacy considerations sections accordingly. These changes will require a return to Last Call and then CR.

Please respond to this CfC on the public list indicating support or any concern with the change by next Friday 30 May 2014 (even a +1 in support is helpful). No response will be taken as signifying agreement. Implementers indicating support for the CfC would be most valuable.

For reference, my previous message outlined the options [2] and Anssi confirmed the intent as discussed in our previous call for this CfC [3].

Thanks

regards, Frederick
