http://test.csswg.org/suites/css2.1/20110111/html4/c43-center-000.htm http://test.csswg.org/suites/css2.1/20110111/xhtml1/c43-center-000.xht http://test.csswg.org/source/approved/css2.1/src/css1/c43-center-000.htm http://test.csswg.org/source/approved/css2.1/src/css1/c43-center-000.xht For the same reasons given for http://test.csswg.org/suites/css2.1/20110111/html4/c5525-fltwidth-002.htm in http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-css-testsuite/2010Dec/0018.html this testcase should not be considered acceptable. 'text-align: center' may resolve fractional pixel differently than 'background-position: 50% 50%' or 'background-position: center center'. The width of the containing block should be controlled so that 'background-position: 50%' or 'text-align: center' always applies to an even (not odd) integer. Chrome 9.0.597.94 and Konqueror 4.6 (and possibly Safari 5.0.3) will be affected by this odd/even number for containing block.
