Per decisions made at last month's CSSWG, and given there were no use cases raised for intrinsic sizing, we should go with a specification of a new CSS property that applies only when `contain:size` is also specified. The new CSS property allows choosing a value other than `0x0` as the placeholder sizing of the subtree. I suggest `content-placeholder-size` as the name of the property. This is almost the same as the original name proposed at TPAC (see issue #4229) of `content-size`, but more clearly indicates that it has to do with sizing when the layout of the subtree is not known/skipped. -- GitHub Notification of comment by chrishtr Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/4531#issuecomment-572184579 using your GitHub account
