Thanks for you suggestion for adding new row for "agents". FYI, I was the guest editor of an issue of the Communications of the ACM about the use of personal agents in eCommerce (see: https://dl.acm.org/doi/abs/10.1145/295685.295708 ) over 20 years ago. And I'm a believer, but I'm sad to predict that it's still too soon to see any traction in this arena. Just giving something a bigger number isn't as useful as indicating promising use cases that are possible to achieve with new technology.

Anyway, if you'd like to add a row, just send me your predictions for 2025, 2030, 2040 and beyond, and I'll create a row for you and provide creative attribution.

Hi everyone,

Two things –

1) First, is there a federated tracking system that reports how many DIDs and VCs have been issued? Or predictions for how many will be issued in the future? This is for a book I'm writing, which includes a section on decentralized identity.

2) Second, I wanted to invite you to participate in the creation of a map of the technological future. A proper analysis would require a four quadrant scenario planning analysis, whereas this is more for mainstream consumption. If you'd like to comment or add to my company's map, you can do so here:
