Inertia is a wonderous thing and change tends to happen only when there is an external driver.

I am semi-amused to note that the change driver to moving off the old approach and to this version was the offer from the DIF to fully fund a W3C/CCG Zoom license to support the community.

Wanted to make sure that we acknowledged them as a motivating factor in making this happen w/o taking away from Manu and team who did the heavy lift to get the system up, running and configured in a manner that supports the community.

Best Regards,

Anil

Manu, congrats on the successful test run of the Jitsi-based conferencing system and thanks again for all your efforts in building this infrastructure for the community group. It is a huge accomplishment for the community. There were close to 30 members conferencing on high-definition audio/video/screen-sharing and a functioning bridge back to IRC with proper "q+"-style queueing, an open and accessible feature that isn't possible with other popular conferencing tools today.

Things are looking good!
