COGA guidance subgroup call: Agenda and pre-work requested for Thursday, October 23rd

Hi, COGA folks, see below for key details about Thursday's guidance
subgroup call, including a pre-work request to complete before the meeting,
thanks.

*Goal for Thursday's subgroup call*

   - Finish aligning on a V2 pattern so we can send a CfC to the task force
   next week.

*Pre-read and pre-work requested*

   - *Read the edited V2 pattern: *Clearly identify controls and their use

   - *Consider the five alignment questions* listed below in the agenda
   section.
   - *Add your margin comments* before Thursday's call at 11am ET so we can
   be sure to address your comments during the call.

*Agenda*

   1. *Pattern name:* Align on title, keeping in mind that there is a
   separate pattern titled “Use clear visible labels.”
   2. *1st item in “What to do”:* Align on Rain’s suggestion to include a
   few links in a call-out box instead of a longer wiki that will be harder to
   update/keep current over time.
   3. *3rd item in “What to do”:* Align on adding a placeholder sentence
   and editor’s note about a soon-to-be-published study that makes clear there
   is a cognitive reason why we are overlapping with two WCAG 2.2 patterns
   about target size.
   4. *5th item about personalization:* Align on changing this from its own
   numbered item in the “What to do" section to an item in the “Key
   considerations” subsection at the end of “What to do” section.
   5. *Exception[s]:* Should the current exception remain in its current
   location or be moved higher up in the "What to do" section? And should we
   add another exception about security?
   6. *Any other concerns *about or suggestions for this pattern?
