Hi All, There was a thread[1] a couple of weeks ago about a bidi summit in Berlin coming purely from a client implementation perspective. There was a request to become a WG meeting since there would be a couple of people from Google and Mozilla. As has been pointed the speed at which these seemed to have ballooned is problematic. Now, I don't want to block a meeting if there is sufficient support from implementors but I want to ensure that this has the full support of people, even those who can't come. I am trying to prevent any future issues with people feeling that one group has taken over and we have moved away from consensus. If there is support still for the meeting as a full WG meeting, despite not implementators not being able to make it, I will create the wiki page and we can move forward. I will be requesting that Google, who has offered to host this, be able to help with allowing *Remote Participation*. As always, each meeting will be minuted and no final decisions will be made until things are merged into spec and things can still be improved after that. [ACTION by 9 August] So, specifically could representatives from Google, Mozilla, Microsoft, and Apple coordinate with colleagues to make sure that you're happy for the group to meet even if your group can't make it? If there are concerns from people outside the groups mentioned please feel free to respond too. If there isn't fully support we can see about keeping the original idea of the meeting limited to client implementations of the Bidi Spec.
