I'm sorry, but I disagree with leaving in the markup. That's a Data Quote Selector, not a Text Quote Selector. If I select text from a PDF, following the logic of leaving in markup from HTML or other formats, I would leave in all of the binary escape codes that control how PDFs are rendered. Or a Word document, or Postscript.
