I see ACTION-509 is on the agenda. I wrote up a summary back in June:

with the bottom line that I was stuck and hoped wanted help. Nobody responded.

So maybe we could discuss this productively. The problem is sort of
subtle so it would help if y'all would read my summary beforehand. But
I'll try to swap it in before we talk today, since you probably won't.
