I have just recently joined this particular list of the W3C but would be
very interested in joining the Web Accessibility group.

I work for the National Credit Union Administration developing Intranet
sites and applications and am responsible for section 508 compliance as well
as general accessibility training and documentation for the administration
(including JAWS testing, etc.). I am planning on attending the next
Accessibility Forum (www.accessibilityforum.org) meeting on September 19 -
21 in Washington DC and believe my participation could benefit the W3C and
web developers everywhere concerned with accessibility standards.
