I'm confused -- I can't reproduce the above behaviour. I copied your instance doc above into a file, used the XSV web form (same version still) to upload and validate it, and got different results, i.e. instanceAssessed=true, validation=lax, no errors. Please try again, be sure to use _exactly_ the above file., and send the complete output (use the full-text output option). ht -- Henry S.
