http://www.w3.org/XML/2000/10/xml.xsd et XML Base

Some questions in the same area...

I'd like first to report that http://www.w3.org/XML/2000/10/xml.xsd (the
URL mentioned in a comment of http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace.xsd)
is giving a 404.

I also notice that an attribute group (specialAttrs) has been defined in
this schema and I'd like to know the status of this attribute group...
Can we rely on it long term ? Is-it something that the W3C is commited
to maintain ? Will new attributes be added ? ...

My last question is about XML Base that's using this same XML namespace.

How will it be handled ?

Will the xml:base attribute just be added in the schema and in the
specialAttrs group and the new schema replace the old one ?

Wouldn't it be a problem for applications using this schema that
wouldn't support XML Base ?

Even if xml:base isn't added to the attributes group, can't there be a
problem for applications that would be using anyAttribute elements to
include these elements (and a reason to discourage this usage) ?

In brief, can you explain (or give some me some pointers ;) ) on your
maintenance policy for the http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace
namespace schema ?

Thanks

Eric
