Would you like to propose a *rough* ballpark of what an implementation 
should be able to perform? Do you think this performance profile even makes 
sense?

Also, I'll update the algorithms incompatabilities once you, Merlin, and 
Jiandong are satisfied (just let me know). On the 
following items:

>      XPointer support in Except URI                     N

I presume the NFC is forthcoming (that's a MUST), but do you plan to 
support XPointer in the Except or is that an option you opt not to supprot?
