Good question.  Assuming by "multi-page form" you mean some sort of
compound/multipart document, the use that immediately pops to mind
is as one class of representation of a resource with composite state
that can be returned from a GET, or sent with a POST/PUT.

There may be others.  For example, the "block of data" function of
POST may have other valid interpretations.
