Dave, We defined an extension syntax and Part 2 defines the extensions for the new components: wsdl.extension(http://www.w3.org/@@@@/@@/wsdl/soap, wsoap.module(parent/ ref)) wsdl.extension(http://www.w3.org/@@@@/@@/wsdl/soap, wsoap.header(parent/ element declaration)) wsdl.extension(http://www.w3.org/@@@@/@@/wsdl/http, whttp.header(parent/ name)) Arthur Ryman, IBM Software Group, Rational Division blog: http://ryman.eclipsedevelopersjournal.com/ phone: +1-905-413-3077, TL 969-3077 assistant: +1-905-413-2411, TL 969-2411 fax: +1-905-413-4920, TL 969-4920 mobile: +1-416-939-5063, text: 4169395063@fido.ca "David Orchard" <dorchard@bea.com> Sent by: www-ws-desc-request@w3.org 11/24/2006 03:15 PM To Arthur Ryman/Toronto/IBM@IBMCA cc "Philippe Le Hegaret" <plh@w3.org>, "www-ws-desc" <www-ws-desc@w3.org>, <www-ws-desc-request@w3.org>, "Yves Lafon" <ylafon@w3.org> Subject RE: agenda+ WSDL 1.1 Element Identifiers there was a request to show an extension in the wsdl 1.1 eis, and I realized that I don't think that wsdl 2.0 defines designators for the soap or http bindings, leaving the xpointer scheme for them undefined. I guess that means that wsdl 1.1 eis must either make the same decision or define it's own extra identifiers. Was the reason for leaving off the soap and http identifers one of 80/20? Or am I missing something? Those identifiers would then be used in the external policy attachment mechanism [2] as WSDL 1.1 domain expressions. 1. Would the WSDL WG object to the publication of the document by the WS Policy WG? 2. Would the WSDL WG be interested in reviewing the document and provide feedback to the WS Policy WG?
