I agree that we need to be sympathitic to the cause of the larger community of SOAP 1.1 based implementations that are likely to continue to exist for a while into the foreseeable future. We would also like to see this addressed one way or other either in terms of normative part of the WSDL 2.0 spec or as a non-normative note that clearly shows how to describe SOAP 1.1 based Web services in WSDL 2.0. We would however also like to get clarity on the IP issues raised.
