Subject: Web Services Privacy Issues in WSDL and SOAP

Dear W3C fellows,

The P3P beyond HTTP task force in the P3P Specification WG will first
identify the requirements for using P3P in conjunction with a number of
protocols and applications other than HTTP -- including XML applications,
SOAP, and Web Services. The task force will then develop an approach or set
of approaches to binding P3P policies to resources that meet the identified
requirements. The task force will also examine whether there are vocabulary
issues or other issues that need to be addressed when using P3P in these
contexts.

The task-force needs more insight in the issues and details arising when
using P3P in conjunction with Web-Services. We therefor invite the WSDL and
the SOAP WG to review our latest draft

http://www.w3.org/P3P/2003/p3p-beyond-http/Overview.html

and start a dialog about implementation of P3P in Web Services and SOAP.

For public feedback, please use our WG mailing-list:
public-p3p-spec@w3.org

If you want your comments to be only member-readable, please send them to
w3c-p3p-specification@w3.org

Thank you very much and we are looking forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards,

Rigo Wenning and Patrick C. K. Hung
